Swimming Pool for Peace & Peace Park
We are a nonprofit devoted to spreading peace and promoting development through a unique brain-body education program, Brain Education.
IBREA Foundation has Consultative Status with the United Nations ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and a local branch in El Salvador. Our program has been implemented in communities around the world with positive effects on people's health, mental wellbeing, goal achievement, and the development and peace of the communities they belong to.
This fundraiser is for Distrito Italia community, a rural area at the outskirts of San Salvador that has suffered from one of the highest indexes of violence in the country for a long time.
IBREA has been supporting this community since 2011 and together with the local families and the central school in the neighborhood, we have made great strides!
After years of devoting our efforts to provide Brain Education to the students, teachers, parents, the school has become a peaceful haven where they all come together to share, heal and grow for their individual growth and the growth of the community as a whole.
The Brain Education program has lifted the entire community!
In 2012, we raised funds to construct a swimming pool in the middle of the school yard. It's named "The Swimming Pool for Peace" because that's exactly what it brought. It gathered many families who had been fighting and not trusting each other, together for a shared dream. And now it is a place where many kids come together, play and enhance their physical and mental health.
This year, we are raising funds to continue providing Brain Education to parents and the wider community, expanding the impact of the program and the health, mental wellbeing and peace of the community.
As many of you can remember, with your support, we funded to create a swimming pool in the Distrito Italia school after our very first Brain Education project in 2011 to create a place for children to play safely.
Now we need support to maintain the Swimming Pool for Peace in good condition. The Swimming Pool for Peace has been a paradise for children in Distrito Italia. Since the swimming pool was opened in 2012, now the pool needs to be maintained and renovated including repairment of the pump, repainting or tiling inside of the pool and renovation for changing the changing rooms and shower area.
Finally, we have a new exciting project to develop a Healing Park around the swimming pool for Peace. We have been planning to create a meditation deck and a barefoot walking meditation path and drinking water fountain for children to rest and heal.
At the entrance of the park, we want to create a plaque explaining the project and its history to provide a true experiential and historical experience to anyone visiting the school!
The funds raised through this fundraiser will be mainly devoted to developing the park and maintenance of the swimming pool. We need to gather enough funds for the construction costs such as labor, materials, transportations.

- $200 contributes to create a barefoot walking meditation path
- $150 contributes to support the beautification of the Entrance and create a Plaque describing the Brain Education project and history
- $100 contributes to renovation of the Swimming Pool for Peace
- $50 contributes to a water fountain
- $25 contributes to plants and flowers
