The HBCU Club at The Institute For Collaborative Education is raising money for the third annual HBCU (Historically Black College and University) college trip. This year the goal is to go to Nashville, Tennesse via plane. This trip offers an opportunity for students of color at ICE to see colleges curated for students such as them. It would be greatly appreciated if you donated and would be helping the students at ICE to pay for this trip. Every Cent Counts!

Help make a difference in usng arts to educate? As part of an ongoing educational initiative, students from the Youth Arts and Photography Program at the Institute for Collaborative Education in NYC are hoping to raise money to support their international program where "students teach students" how to tell their stories through photography.

Please donate to help give the next generation of leaders opportunities to hone their critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and diplomacy skills. By donating to our club you are supporting our diverse community of high schoolers in covering the cost of training programs, conferences, and other Model UN activities that give us a chance to grow (and win).

We are excited to offer a group of passionate students from the Institute for Collaborative Education (ICE) the opportunity to embark on a life-changing science expedition abroad! This unique trip will allow students to engage in hands-on scientific research, explore new cultures, and apply their classroom knowledge and skills in real-world environments.

Our students have worked hard to earn their spot on this expedition and we believe this experience will inspire them to become the next generation of scientists, researchers, and changemakers. As part of our school's mission to foster inquiry-based learning, this expedition is about more than just travel-it's about building skills, confidence, and embodying the role of global citizens. Our students will work closely with researchers to help answer an essential question: Are the current large-scale reforestation efforts successful in slowing down the rate of forest decline globally?

Students will monitor plant & wildlife growth and populations in the lowlands of Serra dos Órgãos mountain range of Rio de Janeiro State. Only 15% of the original forest remains and so students will also help with planting seedlings to aid in the regrowth of the ecosystem.

We need your help to make this plan a reality! Your generous donations will go toward covering costs such as travel, accommodations, research equipment, and learning materials. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to achieving our goal. Our trip dates are March 14th-23rd, 2025, so help us get reach our goal soon!

Each summer, boys on the varsity basketball team at the Institute for Collaborative Education get the experience of a lifetime. For one week, they attend Point Guard College (PCC), one of America's premier basketball camps. The boys expand their skills on and off the court through an intensive curriculum focused on skill and leadership development. They get to escape New York City for a week and gain early exposure to being in a college setting by staying in the dorms at Wheaton College (MA) and attending three lecture-style classes daily.

Since starting this initiative, we've sent over 30 student-athletes, with our largest group (12) attending last July. As one of our most recent participants wrote following his experience at the camp, "PGC actually changed my life." PGC has impacted our student-athletes in ways we never imagined, which is why we've been so committed to providing the opportunity for them to attend each summer.

In addition to covering the $1,095 it will cost to send each kid to camp this summer, we also need to coordinate and cover transportation to and from the camp. We've gotten our student-athletes to camp each summer thanks to generous donors, and this year we're hoping to keep the tradition and get ten more kids to PGC in July.

Hi, we are three high school juniors at the Institute for Collaborative Education (Anderson, Aniya, Savannah) who have started our college search for where we want to go to school in the Fall of 2024. We are planning an HBCU trip for our classmates, rising 9th, 10th and 11th graders, to explore the different cultures within colleges to get some insight as to where we and they want to spend our college years. There are approximately 25 students going on this trip and we anticipate a cost of $400 per student to attend. We will be visiting Morehouse College, Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University as well as several museums including the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr and the exhibit The Black Hair Experience. Donations of any kind would be very helpful to make sure we can do all these activities & have the best experience.
