Please help us! We recently took 13 dogs from a breeder. Skylar is our cover dog but we have 12 others just as beautiful and in need. These dogs range in ages 1-7 years have never lived in a home, had a warm bed or been loved. Each has a wonderful loving personality.

We have spayed and neutered all the dogs and have brought them up to date on shots. In addition most of the dogs had whip and roundworms and a few had Giardia. One dog is heart worm positive. Many of the dogs had horrible teeth. We are treating every dog so they can go into their forever homes.

Our adoption fees do not begin to cover the money we have spent on these dogs. We really need your help. Any amount you can donate is appreciated. We also desperately need foster homes for these dogs. Please help us with these sweet dogs-- they deserve a chance.

Malcolm is a two-year-old chocolate lab mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter. Upon meeting Malcolm, we immediately noticed that both of his bottom eyelids were droopy. In addition, Malcolm's eyes were irritated and red, and the vet informed us that he had a condition called ectropion. Ectropion is an abnormality of the eyelids that Malcolm was born with. It means that his lower eyelids were rolling outward. Not only does this condition cause that droopy appearance, but it also exposes the delicate tissues that line the inner surface of the eyelid and cover the eyeball. This exposure causes chronic dryness and excessive tearing. Also, an active dog like Malcolm would get debris in his eyelids when playing outside. Debris such as pollen, grass, and dirt which would lead to chronic conjunctivitis and severe discomfort.

In order to give Malcolm a better quality of life, we made the decision to have both of Malcolm's eyes corrected and he had the surgery done on June 4. We have included pre-and post-photos and you can already see how much better they look. We are looking for donations to help offset the cost of the surgery. Any amount is appreciated. This sweet 2-year-old boy will be listed up for adoption soon after both eyes have finished healing. Thank you for your help and please share. Photos below are post surgery.

We have taken 12 labs and 1 golden retriever from a breeder. These dogs have spent their entire life in a kennel. They have not been well cared for or loved. They have never been in a home, had a warm bed or even a toy. We are changing that. Each dog has been spayed and neutered and brought current on shots. Almost all of the dogs have worms, and Giardia. Some have additional medical issues such as infected teeth. The average cost for vetting a dog is $1000. Please help us. You donations will make a big difference for these dogs.

As a side note the previous 41 dogs we have taken from this breeder are now happy, healthy and adjusting to life in a home. Please donate and give these dogs a chance at a new and better life

About a week before Christmas, Labs4Rescue was contacted to help a stray yellow lab who was walking with a limp in his back left leg. Shelters were full and injured dogs would be the first to be euthanized. We knew this sweet boy, who we named Oakley, deserved better. We brought him to the vet to see why he was limping and the vet could not believe that Oakley was even able to walk around after seeing what the X-Rays revealed (see X-Rays attached). Poor Oakley had a broken pelvis and a "shattered" femur, as the vet explained. Although we could never be sure, this type of traumatic injury was likely from being hit by a car. While we always try to keep a dog's leg, the vet explained that with his broken pelvis, the best long term option for Oakley was to amputate his leg. It would reduce the pressure on his pelvis, resulting in less pain. Three days before Christmas, Oakley's back left leg was amputated. He is recuperating with a foster family and is doing well. His foster mom slept beside him on the floor the first few nights to comfort him, but in 2 short weeks, he is in good spirits and learning to get around on three legs. He has been back to see the vet and get his staples out and the vet said Oakley is healing well! He will be available for adoption soon! As you can imagine, the X-Rays, amputation and medication for Oakley has been quite costly. Oakley's medical bill is currently $1800. Labs4Rescue is asking for donations to help defray some of these costs. Any amount is helpful and we appreciate your generosity and interest in helping sweet Oakley!

A geriatric breeder forced to go out of business due to serious health issues recently reached out to Labs4Resuce for assistance with the placement of OVER 50 dogs, most of them Labs.

Despite the costs associated with a rescue of this size and never having undertaken such an effort in the past, Labs4Rescue didn’t hesitate to step up …. the organization agreed to assist with the placement of ALL of these dogs. This is an extremely costly commitment that far exceeds Lasb4Resuce’s current budget and resources, which do not take into account costs associated with the rescue of so many dogs real time.

To date, Labs4Resuce has spent OVER $20,000 in connection with the rescue of the first group of these dogs (19 in total). This amount covered costs (with a rescue discount) for full veterinary exams and treatment, core vaccinations, spays/neuters, grooming and boarding.

While these unprecedented costs have put quite the dent in Labs4Rescue’s budget and resources, the organization wants to make good on its commitment to ALL of these dogs. In order to do so, Labs4Rescue is asking for YOUR HELP in connection with the rescue of the next group of these dogs (15 in total), which is imminent , and the remaining dogs . Labs4Rescue cannot make good on its commitment without your donations, as adoption fees and routine donations will never cover costs of this magnitude.

Accordingly, Labs4Rescue needs to raise money through your donations all of which will go towards full veterinary exams and treatment, core vaccinations, spays/neuters, grooming and boarding. We need funds NOW and any amount, however big or small, is greatly appreciated. Please also share this link
