Support Law N Paws' Sanctuary & Rescue
Serving the El Paso community since 2017, Law N Paws is a unique animal rescue sanctuary founded by El Paso Police Detective, Vanessa Acosta. We are a 501c(3) not for profit that has rescued over 550 victims of severe animal cruelty and neglect found in the El Paso region.

Recently, we have encountered a major obstacle. Our current landlord has increased our rent by 500%. This makes it impossible for us to stay in our currently leased space.

With over 150+ rescue animals under our care, we have decided to bring our dream of building our own animal rescue and sanctuary to fruition. And we need your support! This urgent situation has required us to take action sooner than we planned in order to maintain the welfare of all our rescue dogs.

With the backing of our local community, we have purchased land and will be the FIRST and ONLY dog sanctuary in West Texas!

We are seeking support to begin stage one of our development which will be laying down underground utilities and foundation for the sanctuary. This will be the permanent safe haven for abused and neglected dogs to find the love and care they deserve.

We can't do it without you! Every donation gets us closer to completing this vital project.

“Help Mario Kart Start a New Chapter of Love and Healing”

Meet Mario Kart, a two-year-old poodle mix who has already overcome so much. Rescued and rehabilitated by Law n Paws, Mario Kart’s journey to recovery began after he was struck by a car and left untreated. A life-saving surgery, extensive medical care, and a custom wheelchair have transformed his life, allowing him to roll with joy despite his partial paralysis. Yet, despite all the progress, Mario Kart still needs special care – his bladder must be expressed regularly, a task requiring a skilled and compassionate touch.

Mario Kart’s next adventure awaits him – a loving new home with a native El Pasoan who is now in Spokane, Washington.

However, getting him there involves a significant journey, spanning from El Paso to Spokane with crucial stops in Salt Lake City. Fortunately, his devoted vet tech from Eastside Animal Hospital has volunteered to ensure that Mario Kart receives the attentive care he needs throughout the trip. This compassionate individual will drive him from El Paso to Salt Lake City, and then on to Spokane, a 13-hour drive for each leg of the journey.

To make this vital transport possible, we need your help.

We are raising funds to cover the essential costs for this journey: rental car and gas, hotel stays, and food for the road. Your generous donation will ensure that Mario Kart travels safely, comfortably, and with the expert care he deserves.

Hello friends I have received comments from many, who were not aware that Law N’ Paws animal rescue is a Non-Profit 501 c 3 donation based organization. Many were not aware of how to donate to Law N’ Paws. Furthermore, people have mentioned that their belief is that the rescue is a city-funded organization. We are not funded by the city or any government agency. Rather, we rely solely on the generosity of citizens and the public.

We currently have several animal rescues in need of medical care, and/or spays, neuters, and vaccinations. These animals are given veterinarian care in the order of severity. Others wait a duration of time until funds can cover their care needed.

Furthermore, Law N Paws is a crucial partner to the EPPD’s Animal Cruelty Unit. Law N’ Paws enables animal cruelty unit to take a step forward in finding our animal victims the medical attention that they need. And, of course, the ultimate goal is to find that forever loving home that these animals desperately deserve.
