Raise Awareness for Rare Fahr's Syndrome
Hello! I'm a high school student with a passion for creating compassionate healtcare. I want to raise money for a neurological condition, called Fahr's Syndrome. Unfortunately, it's an extremely rare condition, which in turn means its awareness and funding are very limited. With the funds raised, I plan to support various organizations such as the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and other nonprofits dedicated to funding research for conditions similar to Fahr's syndrome!
How Your Donation Will Be Used:
Research Funding:
~40% of funds will go to research organizations like the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) and those directly researching rare neurological diseases, including Fahr's Syndrome. This will help fund studies aimed at directly discovering new treatments and, ideally, a cure.
Patient and Family Support:
~30% of funds will be donated to nonprofit organizations that provide emotional, educational, and financial support for families affected by rare diseases. This will include providing resources for managing the symptoms of Fahr's Syndrome, counseling services, and assistance with navigating healthcare options.
Raising Awareness:
25% of funds will be used to fund awareness campaigns, including educational materials, social media outreach, and events. These efforts will focus on spreading knowledge about Fahr's Syndrome and encouraging more people to support research and advocacy efforts.
Logistical and Operational Costs:
~5% of funds will be allocated to cover the operational expenses of managing the fundraising campaign itself, including website hosting, marketing, and administration.
