Meet Aaron, a lovely young dog taken in by New Beginnings for Merced County Animals . We don’t know what happened, but we do know he has two legs that were broken and have healed badly. He's been living like this for at least a year! He was lucky to become a New Beginnings dog last week, because we know our fans and donors can help us help him.
This sweet boy needs special surgery to fix is front leg which bends in a few extra places because his bones are still broken apart. To fix Aaron's front leg, an orthopedic specialist will be performing a bone graft and then attaching a plate to hold the bones together. His back leg will just be removed, since he's already adapted to not using it.
This is expensive surgery that can only be done by a specialist. We know Aaron is worth saving, we just need your help to do it.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit New Beginnings for Merced County Animals, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
You can see in the photo above, how his front leg bends in an extra place. Take a close look at his back foot - it shouldn't point in that direction at all. He may have healed badly, but he’s still happy to run and play. He will have a great life, he just needs a bit of extra help before he can start searching for his very own furever home.

Our mission is to create a new standard in rescue operation with education and community involvement to end the suffering of animals who are lost, abandoned, or given up to the Merced County shelter. New Beginnings for Animals – Merced is uniquely well-positioned to accomplish this goal by focusing on our three primary activities: ◾Transporting large numbers of animals out of the Merced shelter ◾Treating sick/injured abandoned animals and making them available for adoption ◾AND working to fund a spay/neuter program in the Merced area to address the root of the overpopulation problem–sterilizing dogs and cats to stop the litters of unwanted animals that are overloading the shelters and rescues.
