Equip Ugandan Clinics To Save Lives—Sustainably
OneDay Health has a simple, but powerful mission: to bring high-quality healthcare to all Ugandans, no matter where they live.
Last year, YOU helped us build health clinics that are already saving lives. Now, we need to provide equipment for our nurses to save even more. And, each donation up to $6,000 USD will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Sumar-Lakhani Foundation!
Our exciting new Soroti hub is ahead of schedule with our wonderful manager Elec Alfred launching 2 new OneDay health centers in September and October! These health centers in Omasia and Aripei have started strongly, with over 700 patients in the first 2 months. We look forward to launching two more before the end of the year in the remote villages of Agule and Amugei and hope to launch 8 or 9 health centers in the region by mid-2023.
The Soroti hub encompasses 3 language groups and 6 Ugandan districts, with nurses required to be trilingual in some sites (2 local languages plus English). The region has unique challenges, with densely populated communities surrounded by isolated swamps, which often get cut off from main roads after heavy rains.
A one-time donation for medical equipment goes a long way. For US donors this donation is fully tax-deductible:
All Medications needed for launch - $500
Solar Unit - $200
Medication cupboard - $100
Blood pressure machine - $50
Thank you!
