Round #3!!! Back to Africa!!

Hi friends and family!!I am excited to announce that Team Restore Vision will be traveling to Kenya in January 2025!! Last time our team traveled to Ghana and performed over 350 vision restoring cataract surgeries! Cataract is the leading cause of avoidable blindness and vision loss in the world! On behalf of Operation International I will be working along side this amazing team again!! All money raised will help to fund this mission trip and our incredible team! I’m heading to ECUADOR for my 5th surgical mission with Operation Internation-Team Chicago!! Nothing brings me more joy (than my family, duh) to help those in need. Not only do we provide the necessary surgical treatment most of these patients wouldn’t have access to, we also teach and assist the local community in basic surgical skills. I’m asking for more donations this year as it is the initial OI trip to Ecuador and we will need to bring much more supplies than any of our other trips. The risks are high, but the reward is even higher. Please, help me help others.

My name is Carol Hess and I've been a Certified Surgical Technologist for over 7 years. I recently accepted a spot on the Operation Restore Vision team, which is part of Operation International. Operation Restore Vision has performed free sight restorative surgeries since 2009 in some of the most impoverished areas of the world. They aim to make surgery accessible to those suffering blindness without care options.

In February 2025, Operation Restore Vision will be heading to the western region of Kenya, which is called Kakamega. The objective of this mission trip is to perform 200 vision-restoring surgeries. With this in mind, my personal goal is to raise $2,500 for my expenses towards the mission, which includes flights, hotels, and food. Thank you, and I hope you consider donating!

My Name is Jessica I am a Registered Nurse in NY, first generation in the USA born in Medellin, Colombia. I was blessed to form part of Operation International's NY Team in 2021. Since my first volunteer mission I fell in love with the humanitarian work done by Operation International. Not only do we donate everything we bring to the location to perform very complex and life saving surgeries, but we also educate the local medical staff. Operation International has opened 3 Orphanages in Uganda, provides a home, a school, food, and everything needed for a child to have an opportunity in life. January 2024, the first Women's Team was made possible by Dr. Alamia a chief OB Physician. We went to Ghana and had a very successful mission in which we completed 63 surgeries from Mastectomies, Uterine prolapses, Hysterectomies, Myomectomies etc. The NY Women's Team will be in Guayaquil, Ecuador January 2025, to provide free medical care and life changing surgeries to the women in Ecuador. The reason for this account is to collect funds to help us with the costs of all the medical equipment, supplies, medications, orphanages and kids. Our work not only consists of our volunteer work, but also all the people who donate and contribute to the beautiful humanitarian work done by Operation International and all the team members. Tuve la bendicion de formar parte de la Fundacion Operation International en el 2022 con El equipo de NY en Cirujias generales. Desde que fui a mi primera mission voluntaria me enamore de el trabajo, la dedication y amor con el que la Fundacion trabaja. La Fundacion tambien ha construido 3 Orfanatos en Uganda, Africa, ofrece educacion, vivienda, comida y todo lo necesario para tener una oportunidad a una mejor vida. En Enero 2024 el Dr. Alamia Obstetrico/ginecologo, formo el primer equipo para la Mujer. Una primera mision fue a Ghana, Africa en donde pudimos completar 63 cirujias de character complejo. No solo hacemos las cirujias completamente gratis, pero tambien donamos todo lo que llevamos y educamos y compartimos nuestras tecnicas y procedimientos que ayuden a vanzar la medicina en estos lugares. La razon de esta cuenta es reunir fondos para continuar ayudando a los mas necesitados en todos los lugares del Mundo. Hello everyone! I’m headed to Guayaquil, Ecuador with Operation International Women’s Health team to provide anesthesia for surgeries ranging from adult surgical oncology to pediatric general surgery. I’ve been a pediatric CRNA for the last 1 year and 4 months and I’ve received amazing training and education at my current hospital. I hope to use my skills to safely administer anesthesia for pediatric patients undergoing life changing surgery in Ecuador! Thank you for your consideration ♥️! #womenshealth

Hello everybody! My name is Kelly and I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. In January I have the privilege of joining Operation International Women’s Health Team on a medical mission trip to Guayaquil, Ecuador. I will be providing anesthesia to women who are in need of life saving/changing surgeries they would otherwise be unable to receive as this is a very underserved country in terms of healthcare.

I am helping to start raising money in aid of Operation International LTD by spreading awareness about a wonderful cause. We all have the power to help make this world a better, more compassionate place in our own way.
