Pragathi

Pranav is raising money on behalf of the organization Pragathi in order to finance a project to provide cheap and effective eye screening and treatment to hundreds of kids in the city of Bangalore, India.

What makes this project new and innovative is that it uses a platform called PEEK Vision. This is an app that can be downloaded onto a smartphone and can use the camera of the device to scan the retina of a patient and diagnose them in real time.

The app is paired with a simple, 3 dollar (USD) camera attachment that can allow for more in-depth analysis of a patient's eye.


Pragathi and the Karnataka Health Ministry will monitor the children from the initial examination through treatment. The whole process will cost roughly one dollar per child treated. So please, help a lot more!!!

Hi, my name is Seya, and I am a high school student in Houston TX. I am working with Pragathi (a Texas based nonprofit) and Rotary International, to raise funds for a new surgical facility at St. Theresa's Hospital in Bangalore, India. 

St. Theresa's Hospital is a charitable speciality hospital serving a large population of low income, below poverty, and migrant families, who cannot afford to pay for basic and specialized health care. This project will aid in the building of an additional operating room that will increase the surgical capacity at the hospital by upto 30%. Specifically, the funds will be used to add an advanced Laproscopic Unit, other related equipment and tools, and provide training procedures for timely and critical operations, including micro surgery and trauma care.

Thanks to generous contributions from Rotary Finland and Rotary International, $65,000 has already been raised towards this effort. Please help me to raise the remaining funds necessary in making this life-changing project a reality.
