Ansari Family @ Cleveland Clinic
Our precious child Nooh Ahmed Ansari (M/15) is fighting a rare genetic disorder, 'Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, and has to endure immense pain that no child should have to endure. It was like a dream when he was born and given in our arms the first time, we were out of this world to have him, but we could hardly live this happiness as life came shattering down in front of our eyes. It all started when his little hands began jerking like twitching, and we took him to the doctor unknown of the storm that was about to turn our life upside down. Our little angel was put into huge machines and underwent many torturous scans. The results suggested that tubers were detected in his brain, due to which he started getting constant severe epileptic seizures which increased with time. Somehow we gathered ourselves, and with the belief that Allah would grant him shifa one day, we dedicated every min of our life to keeping him safe and going. We worked very hard on his regular therapies so that his overall development can improve, and he did well until the age of 9; he could talk and play and learn, go to a special school and do a lot of things. He has been on many anti-epileptic drugs to control his seizures, but now his condition is getting worse and affecting his physical and mental development causing several disabilities. He is now non-verbal and cognitively delayed severely. We have tried all we could since many years for his treatment. We have lived in and out of hospitals and ERs due to his sudden and unexpected health issues.
Since past one year Nooh’s growth spurt has spiked his seizures and his condition has deteriorated to the point that his safety is constantly at risk, it has become very difficult to keep him safe from falling due to the intense seizures. To save him from more damage and give him a better life he urgently needs to undergo epileptic brain surgery in the Cleveland Clinic. The surgery and all the pre and post surgery procedures will cost us 160 thousand dollars .We sold all our assets n got help from family and friends and managed to arrange approximately $75,000 . After some initial hospital, food and accommodation expenses we are down to $62,000 .
We have been trying to gather funds for his treatment and we request you to kindly help us by contributing in this cause of making our child's life meaningful.
