BeCool and Brighten Nigerian Schools with Solar Energy!
Imagine trying to learn in a classroom without electricity—no lights, no fans, no way to charge a device or access digital learning tools. This is the daily reality for many students in rural Nigeria.
Our BeCool Climate Song & Action campaign , recruited youth worldwide to engage in climate action and to sing our climate anthem “I wanna be cool”. Many Nigerian schools participated. We discovered that several of the rural schools lack electricity entirely. Now, we’re taking action!
In honor of Earth Day, we are raising funds to install Solar Energy Systems providing clean, reliable power to these schools.
For just several thousand dollars, we can change the lives of all the children attending one school.
The installation will be carried out by Entric Energy , a trusted Nigerian solar company with a strong track record in sustainable energy solutions. With the money raised, Wisdom Academy in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria will be the first school to receive a solar installation. If we exceed our initial fundraising goal, we can extend this initiative to additional schools we've already identified in the same Delta State area.
This video shows some of their students participating in our climate song, and the photos below reveal the conditions of their school.
Why This Matters:
✅ Better Learning Conditions – Students can study in well-lit classrooms and use basic technology.
✅ Health & Comfort – Fans for ventilation and safe, reliable power for the school.
✅ Sustainable Impact – Reducing reliance on diesel generators and cutting carbon emissions.
All donations go through our 501c3 nonprofit partner Social Good Fund (Project ClimateMusic). Every contribution, big or small, will go to these solar energy systems and will help bring lasting change.
Join us in lighting up rural schools! Donate today and share to spread the word. Together, we can empower these students with the gift of clean energy and a brighter future.
THANK YOU!!!
