Instead of selling his new single, Joshuah Campbell is choosing to use "Sing Out/March On" to solicit donations to the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization dedicated to fighting hatred, and giving a voice to the voiceless.

Ahmaud Arbery was out taking a jog when he was murdered. I run every day, and one of the reasons it is such a worthwhile and satisfying experience is because I do not have to fear for my safety. The thought “I could be gunned down in the street” has never crossed my mind, and did nothing to earn that peace of mind. I get that peace of mind because I am white. Ahmaud Arbery deserves justice. His family deserves peace.

This Saturday I am going to #RunwithMaud, and I'm going to run a quarter-mile for every 10 dollars we can raise for the Southern Poverty Law Center. I'll run 10 miles, I'll run a marathon, whatever we raise together. I can't stand idle as black lives are taken and as white supremacy continues to destroy this country. Join me in doing something.

Hate groups plan to fight the peaceful transition of our presidency Jan 17th through Inauguration Day. We're asking you to nonviolently combat white supremacy and discourage attacks on our democracy.  How? Join us in donating to Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Make the amount of your donation directly proportional to the number, threat, and violence of anti-democratic  insurrectionary demonstrations/riots in our state capitols and in Washington, DC.

We'll make sure the hate groups know that every hateful action they take is countered with a monetary donation to an organization that directly works against their hate. Remember, love trumps hate and always will.

Beginning May 7th, I’m jogging 5k every day for 25 days until May 31st for Ahmaud Arbery. Ahmaud was murdered at age 25 while jogging in his neighborhood in Georgia on February 23rd by two white supremacists - Gregory and Travis McMichael. They have yet to be charged. If you’d like to support me as I run, please donate to my fundraiser. All proceeds will go directly to the Southern Poverty Law Center to honor the life and memory of Maud in solidarity with his family. I’ll be posting my runs every day to my Instagram until I complete 78 miles.

The murder of Ahmaud is documented in a graphic video. His family is suffering the loss of their loved one while grappling with the persistent systemic inequities that plague our society. I encourage you to stand in solidarity with me by running with Maud and / or donating. We cannot remain passive while black lives are mercilessly taken without consequence. Maud's death is a LYNCHING.

Please demand that the murderers who are responsible for taking Ahmaud's life, including the officials that haven't taken action, face consequences.

Want to see me with a pink beard? It turns out that I'm raising money to benefit Southern Poverty Law Center if we can reach a minimum of $1K. While I can't say I'm excited to dye my beard and display it publicly, I am excited to support a wonderful organization such as the SPLC.

I, like all of you, have felt angered and overwhelmed by the social injustice in our country. On a different (unimportant) note, I made pre-COVID plans to run a 50 mile race this September, and my race is now cancelled. I would love to feel like I am doing something small to help fight social injustice in America, and could also use some serious motivation to get out the door and accomplish a personal dream of mine. I am committing to run an ultramarathon as a way to raise donations for the Southern Poverty Law Center Inc (SPLC).  The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the Center works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.

There is certainly no pressure to donate, but I would be very grateful if you would consider making a donation. Your donation goes directly to the SPLC from this website.

If the total group donations are between $1-1,500, I will run 50 miles on my local trails on August 29. If the total group donations exceed $1,500, I will run a 100k (62 mile distance). Will and I will match the first $500.

We aim to run 2,500 miles in July to raise at least $25,000 for the Southern Poverty Law Center.  

We feel called to put our voices, our bodies and our money to work and signal to our neighbors, families and friends that we are taking action against systemic racism. We want to make a commitment to racial justice that extends past this period of unrest and carries through to November and beyond. Here’s how you can move in solidarity with us:

1)  Donate. Contribute whatever you can to help us reach our fundraising goal of $25,000.  If everyone who sees this page contributes $10-20, we will reach our goal!

2)  Do miles. Run, bike, swim, paddle, or walk, but keep track of your miles in July and let an organizer/team leader know so we can count them up. Or email [email redacted] to become a team leader and start recruiting your own team (family, colleagues, neighbors). We would love to get to 2,500 miles if possible! Reach out to your community for $/mi pledges or single donations.

3)  Spread the word. Share what you are doing through emails to your people or on Instagram and tag @moveinsolidarity. We want only to direct more people to this page and recruit more participants, but do not want to make this about us or take any attention or energy away from the black leaders and broader movement. Our intention is non-optical allyship. 

4)  Be visible in your community. Wear something showing your solidarity to the racial justice and black lives matter movement while you do your miles.  To underscore our solidarity with the Movement, we encourage participants to wear a shirt that embodies our stance. With a lot of funds and focus deservedly going to bail and legal defense funds, and frontline movements and power building, we are supporting long-term structural anti-racist reforms. The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. They are combating systemic racism through their Teaching Tolerance initiative to provide free anti-bias and social justice curriculum for all ages; their criminal justice reform program which leverages litigation and advocacy to counter the “New Jim Crow laws” and their voter rights initiative to dismantle discriminatory voting practices. In our world today there is too much Racial Segregation, I am here to fight for Racial Justice and equality. On June 18th I will be running 12 miles in 12 hours in honor those people of color who have lost their lives because of racial discrimination and to help fight with people of color against racial discrimination. This organization means a lot to me because it was also my great grandfather's goal to fight for Racial Justice, over his lifetime he had made contributions to this organization and now that he is no longer here to do so it is my turn. Please help me reach my goal of $3,000 dollars, every donation counts.
