We are a Youth 501c3 Nonprofit Program designed to help Middle and High School students navigate to the next level of their lives with special emphasis on College Scholarships and Admission, Essays and Community Service projects. We are making a difference in the lives of the next generation.STING, Inc. has been providing quality youth programs for youth in the Middle and High School age group. We are planning our 12th Annual Spring Break College Tours with a trip to Historical Washington DC which will take place April 2nd -April 9th. As a result of the awareness and exposure that our youth receive during our College tours, we expect our youth to embrace higher education. Most of our youth are first generation college attendees, making themselves a positive example to other youth in the area and in their families. Offering our tours affords youth with an incentive to complete high school and attend college. In addition, we offer workshops during our tours where youth learn how a college degree can enhance their lives in the future. We have discovered that this model has afforded youth who might have "thought" of going to college but didn't know where to begin, or that college was for "other people", the opportunity to actually SEE themselves as a college student. We have managed to de-mystify the process for them and have provided a practical solution to a problem some of them and their parents didn't realize they had. We have a proven track record of most of our past attendees attending college at this time and several have already graduated! Your tax exempt donation will help us to make a difference in the lives of the next generation.
