Stray from the Heart

Ecuador is faced with a state of emergency after Saturday’s devastating earthquake. During this difficult time everyone suffers, including animals. Unfortunately, this tragedy has left thousands of homeless animals without any one to help them.

Only our affiliate organization in Ecuador, Fundacion Camino A Casa, is coordinating efforts with animal welfare volunteers to rescue and transfer the most needy dogs and cats to Quito, the capital, and provide them with emergency care, food and shelter.

Your donation to Stray from the Heart will help fund this urgent effort. Please help us help the thousands of needy dogs and cats who are stranded in the middle of this tragic event. ​Now more than ever the victims that cant speak need us the most.

Compassion for badly neglected and abused dogs can only be expressed through action. This is one more example of how our partner volunteers in Puerto Rico are faced with this reality each day -- the lack of compassion by the majority of locals who ignore the plight of neglected dogs like this one. How can anyone walk by, or drive by this pitiful soul and do nothing about it?

We named her Hope. She is on her way to an emergency vet clinic and will keep you all posted on her progress. In the meantime, please donate whatever you can to help cover the cost of Hope's medical care. We suspect she is going to need a lot of medical treatment and, of course, a lot of tender loving care.  No amount is ever too small. Thank you for your support!
