Entertainment Community Fund

Arts professionals need our help and The Actors Fund assists those in need in film, television and the performing arts. The need, now, is dire.

As you may have seen, The Broadway League announced their continued shutdown through at least May 31, 2021. This means tens of thousands of people continue to be out of work – from actors and musicians to ushers and dressers, box office attendants and stage managers, press agents to spotlight operators and so many more, not to mention all those in the theatre district who rely on theatre for their own businesses (restaurants, shops, taxis, parking garages, even the venerable NYC hot dog cart).
 
When the pandemic hit, I decided to personally help keep theatre going virtually by teaching some of your children about musicals. It brought me such joy and the initiative has raised over $15,000 for The Actors Fund! It is time to start raising funds again.

The Broadway Broads (Jen & Sara) will be riding 100 miles each, on January 9th, 2021 on their "bikes that go nowhere" in hopes of raising funds for the community they love and miss, so dearly.

Hi! I’m Clara, and I’m 6 years old. I love singing, acting, and watching plays and musicals. When I found out that people who work at theaters can’t work right now, I wanted to do something.

I started selling some toys and singing for donations to help raise money for The Actors Fund. I’m doing my fundraiser in honor of my favorite actor, “Mr. Joe” - Joseph Morales. Thank you for helping me help others!

$300 - Scene! "Audition tape" style video recording of a movie/play scene of your choice (1-2 min), or any of the previous rewards

With  Broadway and Off Broadway dark, so many of us have lost our favorite place to be.  I was set to see Company  two more times just this month.  While I got my tickets refunded  - all of the people who make the shows happen and bring the magic to us  ticket holders are struggling.  If you received a refund for a cancelled show, please consider donating back the refund - or some of it - or just donate whatever you can in order to help all of the people who would love nothing more than to be working right now to entertain us.  I am  raising money to benefit The Actors Fund — so please help me  any donation will help make an impact.
