Tori's Angels Foundation

As many of you know, our sweet Everleigh has walked an incredibly difficult medical road in her short years on this earth. We are thrilled to share that she is a recipient of the Tori's Angels Foundation, which is a huge financial blessing for the Wheelers!

Tori’s Angels Foundation raises funds to support the families of children accepted for assistance who have life-threatening medical conditions.

The foundation, EIN 45-2516181, is a non-profit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The foundation pays for all medical expenses not covered by insurance, including travel expenses to treatment (airfare or mileage, hotels, meals), co-pays, deductibles, and prescription medicine. Each child is supported from the date of acceptance until his/her 19th birthday. Children who live in Iowa and have health insurance, but can't find medical solutions or are having trouble paying non-covered expenses, should contact our foundation for an application.

All money raised on behalf of Tori's Angels will go directly to Everleigh and help pay for her medical needs present and future. Please join me in supporting this amazing family and the bravest little girl I have ever met.

This Sunday, on October 17th, I will be running the Des Moines marathon to raise money Tor's Angles. The foundation pays for all medical expenses not covered by insurance, including: travel expenses to treatment (airfare or mileage, hotels, meals), co-pays, deductibles, and prescription medicine. More importantly, for Olivia and her family.

Olivia's story

Back in July, just after she was getting ready to celebrate her 6th birthday, Olivia's family took her in to be seen for a sudden lump that they had noticed on her throat. What they were told turned their world completely upside down. Olivia was diagnosed with stage 3 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. Olivia family was accepted by Tori's Angles to help pay for the medical treatment.

Olivia is now in the thick of her treatment plan, which consists of a minimum of 66 weeks of chemotherapy and several weeks of radiation. This little warrior has scans this week to see how treatment is working against the cancer.

You can make a difference by donating today to Tori's Angels Foundation. Tori's Angels pays medical expenses not covered by insurance for our sponsored children with life-threatening medical illnesses. Approximately 65% of our sponsored children have cancer, 20% have heart defects, and 15% have other life-threatening conditions. Tori's Angels pays co-pays, deductibles, treatment expenses (meals, transportation, lodging), and prescription meds--until the child's 19th birthday. Our goal is never to turn away an Iowa child with a life-threatening illness.
