Wild by Nurture

Wild by Nurture is a 100% volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit wildlife rescue. We rescue, rehabilitate, and release hundreds of wildlife every year. We also provide permanent sanctuary to wildlife who have been deemed unable to return to the wild due to the severity of their injuries. Our permanent wildlife residents help us to educate the public about the importance of peacefully coexisting with our wild neighbors and how to prevent common issues with wildlife. We offer invaluable internship opportunities to both high school/college students and the community. We currently do all of this out of our founder's home, but the rescue has very much outgrown our current space. We desperately need to expand our space so that we can continue to rescue wildlife.

Due to human activity, wildlife need our help more then ever. The number of wildlife coming into care each year has increased exponentially.

Our goal is to create a dedicated center, either leasing or purchasing a space that meets our growing needs. A center with room for more enclosures, quarantine spaces for sick wildlife, a critical care room (with incubators, oxygen chamber, etc.), a laundry space, a kitchen with space to store and prep never-ending wildlife meals!

We are starting our fundraising goal at $100,000, but we will likely need to raise more as we finalize our rescue expansion/moving plans. Please help if you can and share. No amount is too small and any amount makes a difference. There is no government funding for wildlife rehabilitation so we rely solely on donations to do this important work. Our supporters make all of this possible; we truly could not save so many lives without all of you!
