Update February 2019-Family and friends, we thank you for the love and support you have provided Jason Fisher and his family over the last 3-4 years. Many of you reach out asking for updates, how you can help and just spreading your arms of love over their family.

The good news is that Jason is still fighting. The unfortunate news is that the tumors have continued to spread through his body and into his bones. The doctors have indicated we are running out of options for treatment, their family is running out of funds for the support and therapy that Jason and his family desperately need, and their family is in great need for additional help for taking care of Jason.

We are not giving up, Jason is not ready to give up. Jason has continued to go through radiation, surgery, chemotherapy.  Their family has decided to reach out to MD Anderson Cancer Center (One if not the best cancer hospitals in the country) for a second opinion. This evaluation is a bit costly including the need for Jason to travel there to complete.  Additional funds are to support their family and Jason's care which includes but is not limited to every day expenses, food and necessities of everyday care taking.

An event will be coordinated for April 2019 in support of Jason and his family in Atlanta, GA. More details to come.

Original GoFundMe from 2017
Initial Post February 2017-Growing up my brother Jason was and remains to be a bright light of integrity, talent, and intellectual understanding of all of his endeavors. As a family, we are proud of his accomplishments from being a star athlete, an honors student, and all out an over-achiever. And most recently a self-taught Sous Chef at multiple Atlanta restaurants.

In late 2015, Jason discovered that a large bump in his chest was not a clump of overgrown scar tissue as he was told by several doctors over the course of 3 years, but a rare form of cancer, a sarcoma called a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor. This was of course a horrific shock to all of us.

But with the support and love of his family and friends, immediate action was taken to treat and remove the cancerous tumor. Jason went into several weeks of painful radiation therapy, and received surgery to remove the tumor in February of 2016, costing upwards of $25,000, and causing Jason to miss several weeks of work and irreparable damage to his mind, body and soul.

After a year of assuming his battle was over, Jason has been once again diagnosed with this rare form of cancer, this time in three places. Tumors were found first on his upper right rib, lower hip bone and mid spine. We have vowed as a unit to battle this disease and beat it, but without financial assistance, this burden continues to grow Please join and help us continue to fight and win. We are in need of immediate financial assistance from anymore who is willing to donate.
