Medical Mercy Discipleship Training Scho

Hello!! My name is Kelly and I am a full time college student, currently employed by the ever tasty Panera Bread and a local private medical practice.I am so blessed to have a completely supportive family, my parents Kevin and Kim Galligher as well as grandparents Ted and Sandy Kadow are standing by my passion for missions. As irrational as it may seem, I have decided to put my jobs and school aside and pursue medical missions through the venue of a Discipleship Training School run through Youth with a Mission( more information found at their website.. http://ywam.org/). I will be completely honest, I am scared to leave behind my livelihood and education, but I know that God always takes care of those in his will. So i know everything will turn out just fine, more than fine actually; perfectly!
Since 2010 when I had the opportunity to go to Bolivia to do missions work, it has been my absolute passion! I am beginning to realize that missions is indubitably exactly what God placed me on this earth to do. I returned from a missions trip to Haiti only a week ago and it even made me more excited to pursue missions as a permanent life occupation. I found out about YWAM, Youth with a Mission through friends and my pastor and I became interested in their Discipleship Training School because it allows you to spend 5 months solely dedicated to pursuing Christ. You can only imagine my complete excitement when I discovered they had a medically based DTS in New Zealand where you get medical training and you are able to apply these newfound skills on the outreach you do at the end of your training. After taking part in a medical missions trip in Haiti, I really felt God calling me to pursue this trip. I am so excited about what God can do with my life and this trip! I leave July 12th for Auckland, New Zealand and I need to raise $3,781.57 by a week before I leave for the Lecture phase. This phase is 12 weeks long in Tauranga, New Zealand and I will receive basic medical training as well as discipleship classes. There is a second phase called the outreach phase where we depart for a country in that area of the world to immerse ourselves in medical missions for 2 months. The cost for this is $3452. 74 and it is due before we leave New Zealand. The last amount of money that is required is for airfare from where I live to New Zealand and back, the approximate cost for this $2607.70. Words cannot express my gratitude for you just taking the time to read about this trip and even if you cannot contribute financially I ask you to just pray for all those going on this trip, that we can truly accomplish great things and that the financial end of things is somehow provided for. Thank you again!
