Students with Learning Difficulties

Donation protected
I started a priviate Christian K-12 school, Ambleside School of Ocala  (ASO), in central Florida over ten years ago. Since then through personal experience with one of my own children, I've become very familiar with the heart-breaking nature of learning difficulties.  To help strengthen the cognitive capacities of children who experience learning difficulties, ASO is adding the Arrowsmith Program this fall.  Being able to offer the this program at ASO gives children a chance to get the highly specialized help they need at a reasonable cost.  If you do not have a child with learning difficulties, thank God, but if you have a heart for children and education, I beg you to keep reading.

In order to cover the cost of the program (start-up, teacher training, travel, and salary, furniture, materials and supplies, program fees of $4,500 per student paid directly to Arrowsmith, etc.) realistically the school would have to charge nearly $10,000 per student per year in addition to any regular tuition; in fact, many schools offering Arrowsmith have to charge this amount. However, our school board wanted to trust God to provide $25,000 so we could discount that number by 40% and charge only $6,000 per student per year; still a formidable amount for most of our families, especially since 47% of our student body is only able to attend ASO due to some form of financial assistance.

An anonymous person in our school community wants to help with the Arrowsmith need, as well as motivate others to give. So this person proposed giving one dollar for every dollar donated by others, up to $10,000!  If everyone in our school community, (grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends...anyone who loves Ambleside or knows how painful learning difficulties can be for children and their parents) gave what they could I am sure we would exhaust the $10,000 matching fund in no time. No gift is too small, and every gift is doubled!!

Please donate before school starts on August 11 to help make a significant improvement in children's cognitive ability to be successful in school. Students' and their parents' lives will be deeply touched, for which they, the ASO School Board, and I would be extremely grateful. Thank you so much!!!
