Leslie Bourque - Burial Expenses

Donazione protetta

With great sadness, wanted everyone to know that my brother, Leslie Bourque, age 50, died Mon, Aug 15 at LGMC ER, after an extended illness, but none the less, very unexpectedly.  Most people will recognize Leslie as a Volunteer for Festival International.  He worked every Festival for all 30 years, most from open to close, beginning in Security then in the International Liquor Booth.  He always looked forward to volunteering and made several good friends doing so.  As with many people, Leslie had no insurance so the family is asking for help with just the bare minimum of burial expenses.  Leslie wanted to donate his body to medical research, but when he found out that Tulane no longer returns ashes to the family (they are buried in New Orleans), he said he wanted to be with his family when he died.  He told this to my sister just a couple weeks ago.  When my other brother, Michael, died in 2008, we buried his remains along with our Mom's remains from 2003 and have a plot for Leslie's ashes as well.  The two brothers and their mom, all together at the plot of  their father, who died in 1969.  We only need help with cremation, (no added expenses for funeral services or visitation) and with permits necessary to bury his ashes and have the grave marker engraved with the DOD.  Any monetary donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated by the family left behind...
Thank you so much,
Sue Coit
