Leslie Robinson’s funeral
Donation protected
Hi my name is Nicki and on the behalf of the community of Crayford, I have set up this go fund me page to help towards the cost of a funeral for Leslie Robinson.
Leslie would be recognised as the man that would walk the streets of Crayford, with a can in hand and not a care in the world. Many of you would have heard of his stories of being in the army, truck driver and a fire fighter. These stories were told to people with a little smile on his face. True or not, he enjoyed telling them.
He lost his life and was found in the river cray back in February. He died outside and at a place he frequented often.
He lost his son many years ago and he turned to the street soon after. Braving the elements and preferring life out in nature he has been a wanderer of the town for the best part of 25 years. My earliest memory was 22yrs ago when my son dropped his bottle in the middle of the road, Les came from no-where and stopped the traffic to pick it up and give it back to him. This act of kindness touched me and I never forgot it.
He may not of had direct family, but he had an extended family within the community, which is why this page has been set up, to ask you, the community to donate as much or as little as you can.
He deserves a decent funeral and not one of a pauper that is done by the hospital.
Any money over the required amount will be used towards a plaque in his honour and the surplus donated to a charity of the communities choice.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
