Help for Renee

Hi. I’m Carl and I have started this Go Fund Me page because no one deserves to have a lower quality of life and potentially lose custody of their child because of a physical disability.

Renee, a single mother and business owner who happens to be disabled, is raising funds to 1) secure more consistent home care assistance by supplementing the income of her Home Health Aides.

2) shed light on others in her situation and to

3) do her part to bring change to a system that is failing her and so many others.

Renee is an amazing and inspiring young lady. She is a life coach with a disability that inspires her to keep giving back.

Unfortunately, Renée is experiencing some serious quality of life issues. She is not able to use the bathroom nor cook for herself without a trained Home Health Care Aide’s assistance. Her main need includes getting out of her bed and into her chair. Like so many others, Renee relies on Home Health Care aides to help her do everyday tasks.

Renee has a 9 year-old daughter who she has been raising successfully. Due to the pandemic and the severe shortage of Home Health Care Aides, Renee is currently in danger of being sent into a group home and thereby loosing physical custody of her daughter.

She shared with me that she has gone days without eating , and has done so because she cannot get to the bathroom without help from a Home Health Care Aide. This problem started with the pandemic it has become increasingly worse.

Renee does not deserve this quality of life and she definitely does not deserve to loose custody of her precious daughter. Please help us by donating towards her ability to supplement the income of her Home Health Aide costs. Her current assistance is limited and has not been sufficient ever since the pandemic started. Her Home Health Aides only earn $12.50 per hour. Supplementing their income will help her to receive more consistent care.
