This campaign has been created for the mother of my husband's best friend, whom I have grown to love and call Mamma Chick. She is an amazing woman who will talk to you for hours about her life stories, her guidance, creativity, free spirit, and love for all. Her recognizable smile and tight hugs are cherished by all.
I met mamma chick sometime around 2012. She explained she got her first job in Milwaukee working in cosmetology for the state of Wisconsin. A job that she was loved and extremely proud of! In Milwaukee she fell in love with a man. She moved to Iran with him - getting married multiple times as she crossed borders. She told me her stories of having three amazing children while living in Iran. Eventually they all moved to Fort Atkinson where she began teaching and was quoted to be "the best teacher ever" as she taught English to ELL students. She also had two more jobs; one where she had very important role working at a company and the other she sold products related to her passion of card designing!
A year ago she had a surgery in attempt to remove cancer, however it was unsuccessful. She worked all three jobs until the pain was too intense and hospice had to be called. She currently is allowing her body to work through pain as she deals with the cancer.
From the moment I met Mamma Chick, I've seen her give love and support to all she meets. I created this campaign to now support her and her most amazing family who is just as generous as she is.
I hope to lessen any money strain they encounter throughout this challenging time.
