Help The Edge Clay Centre rebuild
Donation protected
As I’m sure many of you have already heard, the Edge Gallery & Urban Art Centre (and the residents above) suffered a massive blow early Wednesday morning. A fire, due to arson outside the building, has devastated our community art and clay studio. Thankfully, there was no injury or loss of life (human or otherwise), and we're so grateful for that.
The Edge is a not-for-profit organization in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. We are left with a large amount of damage, and lost revenue for the the foreseeable future. We don't know exactly how long it will take, but have been told it won't be quick as the water damage is extensive. Our electrical panel was completely demolished and will have to be replaced. We'll be covered by insurance for some of the damages, but will be losing all income from classes, workshops, and studio and gallery rentals. We will update this fundraiser info and goal when we know more details.
Many of you have been asking how you can help, and here's a way! Please consider contributing, and sharing with your circle. We hope to be able to supplement other losses not covered by insurance.
We know we are cared for and supported by you all. Thank you, it does not go unnoticed.
Yours,
