Abba Home Orphanage for Girls

Abba Home Orphanage for Girls is situated in Lahore, Pakistan. It is currently housing 42 Pakistani orphan girls (aged 6 to 16 years) from various difficult and traumatic backgrounds. I have been personally supporting this orphanage since January 2020 and would like to extend you the opportunity to invest in the education of the girls in their care.

Abba Home Orphanage was founded in December 2005 by Ashraf and Willma Naheed, who are still running the operation. The orphanage provides the girls in its care a family environment, a safe place to live, nutritious home-cooked meals, and free education as well as extra-curricular activities.

Abba Home's mission is "to empower oppressed, depressed, and deprived orphan girls". They have a vision to see "orphan girls living a prosperous life utilizing their potentials, overcoming violence, and contributing their best to the development of family, community and civil society". 5,000 PKR (Pakistani Rupees) can fund one girl's academic supplies for the entire school year, including stationery, books, uniforms, and extra-curricular activities such as swimming and educational excursions.

At the current currency exchange rate (i.e. $1AUD = 126.59PKR as at 10/01/22), 5,000PKR approximates to $39.50AUD (Australian Dollars).

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated to support this vital cause of education for under-privileged girls in Pakistan. Any funds raised will be donated to cover the annual academic costs for the girls, as well as additional costs for the general management of the orphanage including clothing for the girls, food supplies, wages for staff, and general facility bills.

These funds are needed by 7th February 2022 to ensure adequate supplies for the start of the 2022 school year in Pakistan.
