There is some volunteers going to Jason & Gail's house tomorrow morning to help with the cleanup. All volunteers would be much appreciated. It starts at 8am.

They moved Gail to the medical ICU. It sounds like they are waiting to see how her x-ray of her throat turn out tomorrow to determine an exit plan. They just took Gail off the oxygen and want to see how she does without it. They may have to add it when she sleeps

Gail was struggling to get oxygen the last hour or so. The respiratory doctor put her on a c-pap machine, which is helping. Now, they want to figure out why
1/27
They had to increase Gail's oxygen and are doing a bunch more lab work. Everything is pointing towards an infection of some kind. They may have to reinsert the breathing tube.

Jason was able to talk with Gail a little bit. She had a good day and was able to do a little more physical therapy. The nurse says she had made huge improvements since she last saw her Tuesday. She does not remember what all happened but was asking about where she will love. I told her I'm taking care of that and to just focus on getting better. No real word on a discharge date, but they will have me involved with planning on the advanced care when the time comes.

Gail is breathing in her own with the help of the ventilator but has been able to have the settings lowered more. They are looking at removing her from the ventilator as early as today but could be a couple of days out. They will call when that happens. Her burns are healing well. There is only a couple on her back and one on the upper arm that they are concerned with.
Update 1/18
Jason called Gail, and she can answer yes and no questions and let them know if she is in any pain. Today, they tried a little lower setting on the ventilator, and she was able to tolerate that. They are trying to move from an IV sedation to a crushed one through the feeding tube. Eventually they are going to see how she odes writing on a whiteboard.
Update 1/15
Gail is slowly waking up. She was able to open her eyes, wiggle her toes a little, and give the nurse a thumbs up.
Update 1/11
Looks like she made another step forward today. They have the ventilator on 12 and oxygen at 65%. Her saturated oxygen is holding above 90 so far, and she has been on her back since about 3:30
Update 1/8
It has been a really tough go these last few days for Gail and Jason both. Things have not been looking up as we were hoping. The doctors are doing everything that they can. Gail is still on a ventilator and is allowing for it to breathe for her, rather than fighting against it. They were attempting to slightly decrease her sedation, but had to stop to prevent any body movements that might tare something out. Her labs did show a little more oxygen today which is a small step in the right direction. We are all staying positive and being as supportive as possible. Jason and Gail continue to need prayers and hope from everyone.
Update 1/3/24
Today Jason arrived in Denver to be with Gail. She has not been recovering as quickly as we hoped she would. She had developed pnuemonia today and already tonight with acute respiratory distress syndrome.
The next step will be to run her blood through a machine to add oxygen into her blood stream. We are not sure what to expect from this procedure.
Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers tonight.
Update 1/2/24
Gail has one collapsed lung and the doctors are still trying to find a treatment option for her that her body will respond to. They may need to induce paralysis.
Jason will soon be joining her down in Denver, hoping that she will feel his presence and help her heal.
We are accepting and storing donations for them until they are able to come home.
My name is Lance Letasky, I have worked with Jason Allard for 20 years. He has been one of the hardest working people I have ever known, providing for his wife and his grandmother.
Yesterday tragedy struck his family in a horrific fire on Phillips st. His Grandma Arlene passed away last night just after 10pm. Jason's wife Gail was air lifted to Denver with severe burns and she continues to be on a ventilator. Jason and his family had 2 dogs, one is OK and the other has not been located.
Jason will be joining his wife in Denver during this painful time and we will be providing updates as much as possible.
Jason has not only lost a part of his family but he has also lost his home and all of their possessions. This is such an unfathomable place to be for someone and they shouldn't need to worry about doctor bills, rent or anything else.
Billings is the greatest place to rally for community members. The outpour of prayers and support has not been unnoticed and we hope that this page can significantly reduce financial worry for Jason during this unpredictable and painful time.
Please share and donate if you are able to.
