All Girls Rock 2017

All Girls Rock was founded by We Rock as an annual event which will take place during International Women’s Month.
Working with a variety of organisations across London, All Girls Rock facilitates a platform that celebrates, uplifts, empowers and equips women and girls to be their better selves. By highlighting the organisations who work specifically to deliver services, support, training and other activities we can provide an arena that forges mentoring, peer networking, befriending, unity within the female population and communities which will help them to share female life experiences.
Our first event was delivered in collaboration with the Chair of the London Assembly and The Mayor of London's Peer Outreach Team. We were able to bring together grass roots organisations and young people from across London to present to an audience of over 150 guests.
All Girls Rock is a family friendly event, encouraging mothers and daughters, sisters, aunties, nieces and friends to come together and discuss issues and achievements from a female perspective. In the week leading up to the event, we hold forum discussions allowing individuals and organisations the opportunity to particpate in the planning and implementation of the event. We also hold a youth forum to feed into the decison making process.
The main event showcases some of this work as well as entertainment, inspirational speakers and a panel discussion. With many of these activities involving young people.
Following the event we will continue to promote the organisations and individuals working with women and girls keeping our audience informed of what is relevant and affects the female population in London.
Aim:- A celebration to uplift, empower and equip women and girls to be their best self and benefit others.
Create a forum of women and girls to provide input regarding issues and relevant areas of interest for women of all ages.
Objectives:-
To deliver an event that offers-
Support
Mentoring
Peer Networking
Befriending
Unity amongst people and communities
Celebrates achievement
Shares information and experiences
Promotes positive engagement in activities
