Bailey's Halo Traction Surgery
Beschermde donatie
Bailey has been in the Stollery Hospital in Edmonton, AB since Sept 4th, 2020 and is to be there for 3 months. She recieved surgery for her severe scoliosis.
She has been diagnosed with unbalanced Chromosomal translocation, microcephaly, global developmental delay, severe scoliosis, receptive and cognitive language delay, sensoirneuro hearing loss and feed intolerance.
She has gotten to the point where her scoliosis has started to compromise her organs and her Doctors were worried it could effect her lungs. She relies on a G-Tube which required a surgery when she was a tiny newborn so she cannot eat by mouth. She has also already endured surgeries for her lower spine for a tethered cord.
Bailey also has a twin, her name is Nora and they are both 3 years old. Nora is being cared for by family and close friends while Bailey spends her days at the Stollery with her Mom, Jasmine.
Due to Covid, she is not allowed other visitors other than her her Dad, Teddy. Jasmine is to stay there for 24 hours (or as long as she possibly can and overnights), is relying on pre-packaged noodles and instant coffee. She is also staying at the Ronald McDonald House which comes at a daily cost.
The cost for food, the stay at the Ronald McDonald and extras is adding up and hard on the family.
FSCD has cancelled all help while Bailey is in the hospital and they have been denied child care. No mental health help has been offered for either parent.
All of this comes at a cost. Without these major necessities, this family will be lost. Anything helps.
Bailey is the sweetest, happiest child. Please help the Maga Family by donating today.
