Bless the Faith of Lina's Hope Staff

Lina's Hope is a small school and home for disabled children in Kampot, Cambodia. Our staff provide daily meals, vitamins, snacks, individualized education, individualized therapy and Bible lessons for 15-20 children and young adults who are struggling to overcome brain injury. Our staff also provide 24-hour care for 9 of those children and young adults who we have rescued from abandonment, abuse or intentional starvation. During Covid lockdowns, Lina's Hope stayed together as one big family and continued to care for and teach the children and young adults at Lina's Hope, except for a few young people who have caring families who kept them at home during Covid. Even when worried about Covid or penalties for not staying at home when the government enforced lockdowns, our staff remained faithful and continued to work at Lina's Hope taking care of and teaching the children. Now that the lockdowns have been lifted, the young people who were kept home with families have returned to Lina's Hope, and Lina's Hope is pressing on, with a full load once again. However, during the last 2 years of Covid, funds for Lina's Hope have dropped to an all-time low. We were often unable to pay our staff the full amount because we had to pay other necessities first like rent, utilities, food, medicine, doctor visits, etc. A few times our staff agreed to forgo their entire pay in order to provide for the children first. We now owe our staff $25,500 in unpaid staff salaries. Our staff are trusting God to provide for themselves and their families. They have remained faithful in loving and caring for the children who we serve, even during fear of disease and police arrest.
