FIRE! Please Help Bonnie K. Winn Rebuild

Hi, this is Parris Afton Bonds ~

I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Bonnie K. Winn. A widow and a talented bestselling author who has received countless awards, she has been very ill but was about to be released to go home from the hospital the night before last, when her house went up in flames.

She's the sweetest, most caring soul I know and would do anything for anyone, no matter the hardship to herself. She is beyond grateful that no one was home and her family, including their service dog, are all safe and unharmed. Miraculously a passer-by spotted the fire and called it in before it spread to the surrounding trees and homes.

Wedding ring, wheelchair, walker, furniture, clothes, a lifetime of heirlooms and mementos—everything gone. She and her family are residing temporarily in a hotel. As I understand it, her State Farm insurance covers only 30% of their losses. It's a long and arduous process. It's going to take time to rebuild the house and their lives from scratch.

This GoFundMe me is to help out with immediate needs like clothes and personal items while they are in a hotel. And also furniture, bedding, towels, kitchen items and everything needed to set up a household once they transfer to a long term rental. The house will be rebuilt, but that will be a long process, and I would like to help them get back on their feet so they can focus on rebuilding their lives from this tragedy.
