Help Baha and his family rebuild their home and meet their d

Donation protected
Lying on my back feeling helpless and powerless, I decided to tell you my story from the beginning.

Hello, I'm Sama'a El Madhoun and my husband Baha'a, and our two-year-old daughter Julia.

We are from Gaza city in the northern Gaza strip, and for 16 months, we have been subjected to the worst. Starting with displacement several times, hunger and famine, and the total destruction of our home.

We used to live a perfect life and a beautiful home that we worked for years to build and decorate, then all of a sudden,we lost everything, and we lost our savings.
Our home has been destroyed to the ground and we've lost almost all of our hard-won belongings that have either been damaged or stolen in a widespread home looting. Our financial losses are estimated at $50,000.

This is a photo of our only daughter, Julia, whom God blessed us with after 6 years of marriage and 3 IVF procedures, which drained me mentally, financially, and physically.
Julia's first birthday was two weeks before the war.

I used to work as an English language teacher. I used to spend most of my time with my students, whom I miss very much. Many of them were martyred.

I used to love my work and enjoy teaching English.

This is a picture of our house, which consisted of 4 floors.

This is a picture of my bedroom, which was the most comfortable place for me.

Eversince, we have been struggling for our lives and trying, on a daily basis, to make ends meet for 16 months nonstop.
For 16 months, we have been going through serious hardships having to move from one shelter to another away from our home searching for basic needs such as food and clean water not to mention our lost sense of security. We have been displaced more than 9 times due to military escalation and displacement.

Displacement from one place to another is extremely exhausting.

During the first months of the war, we were displaced to a kindergarten and lived in a computer lab.

After that, we were displaced to a wedding hall.

Then our life in tents began from last May until now, and from that day, the real suffering started.
Living in tents is very difficult; in the summer, they are hot and we move from one place to another in search of shade. We also suffer from flies and mosquitoes.
In winter, we suffer from rain and extreme cold.

The lack of clean bathrooms and overcrowding at the bathrooms.

We suffer from flies and mosquitoes

We cook over fire due to the lack of gas, which is an unhealthy source of energy.
The basic ingredients for making healthy food are not available, and if they are, they are priced several times higher than their original cost.
The price of everything has increased. Salt used to cost less than 1 dollar, and now its price is 10 dollars.

We suffer great difficulties in obtaining water; we have to stand in long queues and it is not available consistently.

The lack of electrical appliances and the absence of electricity in the tents means we wash by hand.

We are in a tragic situation, stripped of all forms of life and humanity. I live in constant fear that tonight will be the last night I see my only child and my husband. My biggest wish is to save my baby girl who I gave birth to after 6 years of suffering from imminent death. I live with the fear of losing a family member.

A car targeted with a missile, and it was only 100 meters away from my tent. You can imagine the amount of fear we lived through.

I write these words as I hear the sound of bombing all around me.

We are asking for your help and support, because we are in dire need of it. To survive this war on Gaza, and to be able to rebuild our shattered dreams, starting with our home and up to our safe life as a family.

Your donations help save our lives. Your donation, no matter how small, will make an impact and will help bring my family to safety. This is my final message to the world as a human being.

Thank you for reading my words and for your support. If you are unable to donate, please share. I truly appreciate your help and support for me and my family .
