Chriffa Girls Secondary School
Donation protected
My name is Olayinka Idowu, a recent Master’s degree graduate from Brooklyn College NY who understands the importance of education and how far quality education can contribute to a more enriching life. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to Tanzania and work with Christopher Manyanga as an assistant teacher for a month while he was a Headmaster at an all girls school in Tanzania. During this time, my co volunteers and I noticed the many issues at the school where he was based at the time. The school desperately needed updated textbooks, basic technology, sanitary living conditions for the girls and an effective syllabus with updated infrastructure.
This year, Christopher took matters into his own hands and has started building his own private school that will eliminate the many issues that can potentially disrupt a young girl’s education 'CHRIFFA GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL'.
Education can stand as a way out of poverty, an opportunity for growh within their community and a symbol of hope for these young girls who will grow to be women with a voice. This is crucial for these young girls in Tanzania because there are many obstacles that stand in their way such as; cultural barriers, poverty, the lack of educated women in professional workplaces and consistent motivation to go to school .
The funds from your donation will go towards;
Finishing the classroom buildings
The girl’s bathrooms and dormitories
Books and School supplies
Transportation for volunteers to deliver funds and collection of supplies
The statement below is from the School Headmaster Christopher Francis Manyanga pertaining to the new school in progress.
"I'm starting a girl’s school at Kigwa village, Uyui District, Tabora region in Tanzania. It will be called CHRIFFA GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL. It is wholly owned by my family. We intend CHRIFFA GIRLS SECONDARY SCHOOL to be among the best schools in providing quality education to the young Tanzanian girls who in future will serve our nation in different fields. Our goal will be realised through maximum cooperation of the entire community and well-wishers, working with diligence and integrity. Likewise, to have committed and dedicated personnel, disciplined students, improved infrastructure and adequate teaching and learning materials. Our motto is 'educating a girl is educating the society'. We beg you and other well-wishers to support our vision. Thanks in advance"

I hope that as you donate, you are reminded that you are now part of the elevation of a young girl who takes a step toward her education and into a brighter future.
Thank you
