Cumbria Way Charity Challenge

From Thursday 30th May to Sunday 2nd June, 8 Young Farmers will be tackling the 73-mile long Cumbria Way (Ulverston to Carlisle!)

We all enjoy hiking and getting out in our beautiful county so we thought why not walk the Cumbria Way!

We are raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service and Cumbria YFC Northern District.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) probably needs no introduction but they bring pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year serving the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.

The Northern District of Cumbria YFC consists of 15 Young Farmers Clubs that encourage their members to take part in activities, competitions and fundraise in their local community. Young Farmers is a rural youth community group which is led by young people, for young people. Young Farmers' Clubs provide anyone aged 10 to 28 with a fantastic chance to meet lifelong friends, learn new skills, make a real difference to the local community and even travel the world.

We also have extra Young Farmers (ex Young Farmers and family) joining us for a mixture of one day, two days and three days! Hopefully they’ll bring new crack and morale
