3/22/23 UPDATE: first and foremost I want to thank everyone who donated, sent prayer's, and help spread the word, we’re extremely grateful, it’s been an emotional struggle trying to stay strong for them seeing them in the conditions that their in and how traumatized they are, both dogs have been seen multiple times at multiple vets/hospitals Dawson (husky) got out of the house fast and he is expected to make a full recover, simba (German Shepard) was stuck in the house longer and thank God thank God thank God for the men who risked their lives to go inside and save our baby I’m forever thankful for those men, simba’s developed a cough and was seen last night for follow up X-rays there’s no fluid build up in the lungs but there is some inflammation so we got more medication to help with that and we just have to monitor him closely for the next few weeks as they both recover, again thank you so much for everyone without this help we wouldn’t have been able to go this far with treatment on our own in our current situation and we’re so thankful for all of you God bless and we will keep everyone updated as they recover further

Hello everyone, on Friday March 17, 2023 my partner and I completely lost everything we own due to a house explosion.

At the time of the incident, thankfully, both my partner and I were at work. Unfortunately our two dogs (Simba, 2 y/o German Shepherd & Dawson, 4 y/o Husky) were inside of the home. While we were both at work we had no idea our dogs were essentially fighting for their lives. I can’t even imagine how they felt being inside their own home while it burned down with them inside. We were told by animal control, who was at the scene at the time of the incident, as soon as there was an opening to the house the husky ran out and was later found in the neighborhood. Sadly, the German Shepherd (Simba) was in his crate trapped while all of this was going on around him. The amount of desperation he must’ve felt is something that I would never ever want for anybody else’s pet to ever feel or go through.

My partner and I will forever be grateful to the amazing man that was able to save both our fur babies. Both were found with burns on their nose and their entire fur coat singed. The Husky who was once white is now a light brown color and the German Shepherd was left with what seems to be a second degree burn on his face/ nose area. At the moment they are both in a stable condition but will eventually need to be treated by a vet to do a full assessment due to the smoke inhalation.

As far as the house goes, it is a complete lost. We are now forced to completely start over. Any form of donation is greatly appreciated and accepted such as old gift cards, extra house supplies, and even old clothes. We are currently looking for a place to stay temporarily while we get back on our feet.

Thank you to every single person that has taken time out of their day to wish us well and send us prayers. There is a long road ahead of us but we are extremely grateful that nobody was drastically injured.

Hola a todos, el viernes 17 de marzo de 2023 mi pareja y yo perdimos por completo todo lo que tenemos debido una explosión en casa.

En el momento del incidente, afortunadamente, tanto mi pareja como yo estábamos en el trabajo. Desafortunadamente, nuestros dos perros (Simba, Pastor Alemán de 2 años y Dawson, Husky de 4 años) estaban dentro de la casa. Mientras ambos estábamos en el trabajo, no teníamos idea de que nuestros perros estaban luchando esencialmente por sus vidas. Ni siquiera puedo imaginar cómo se sintieron estando dentro de su propia casa mientras se quemaba con ellos adentro. El control de animales nos dijo que estaba en la escena en el momento del incidente, tan pronto como hubo una apertura a la casa, el husky salió corriendo y luego fue encontrado en el vecindario. Lamentablemente, el pastor alemán (Simba) estaba atrapado en su jaula mientras todo esto sucedía a su alrededor. La cantidad de desesperación que debe haber sentido es algo que nunca querría que la mascota de otra persona sintiera o pasara.

Mi pareja y yo estaremos eternamente agradecidos con el increíble hombre que pudo salvar a nuestros dos bebés peludos. Ambos fueron encontrados con quemaduras en la nariz y todo su abrigo de piel chamuscado. El Husky que antes era blanco ahora tiene un color marrón claro y el pastor alemán quedó con lo que parece ser una quemadura de segundo grado en el área de la cara y la nariz. Por el momento, ambos se encuentran estables, pero eventualmente necesitarán ser tratados por un veterinario para realizar una evaluación completa debido a la inhalación de humo.

En cuanto a la casa, es una completa pérdida. Ahora nos vemos obligados a empezar de nuevo por completo. Cualquier forma de donación es muy apreciada y aceptada, como tarjetas de regalo viejas, artículos adicionales para el hogar e incluso ropa vieja. Actualmente estamos buscando un lugar para quedarnos temporalmente mientras nos recuperamos.

Gracias a cada persona que se ha tomado el tiempo de su día para desearnos lo mejor y enviarnos oraciones. Hay un largo camino por delante, pero estamos muy agradecidos de que nadie haya resultado gravemente herido.
