2019 Boston Marathon

It takes more than one person to make up a team and that’s why I’m asking you to donate to my AKTIV Against Cancer fundraising page. I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of AKTIV Against Cancer and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the 2019 Boston Marathon. AKTIV Against Cancer works to help ensure physical activity will become a part of standard cancer treatment. Although my father is no longer with us, he did not let a day go by where he did not stay active. I truly believe that this is one of the main reason he was able to be with us for much longer than the doctors had anticipated. There have also been many other special people in my life that have proven that you don't let cancer kick your butt, but rather YOU go out there and kick its butt. Just to name a few:  Marie, conquering a triathlon after finishing treatments. JAV, after treatment - completing multiple half marathons and embarking on a new goal with crossfit. Megan, by being the bad a$$ mother that she is and being such an amazing role model for her children and inspiring others.
