Desiree Smith’s COVID Fund

My name is Tira VanderVegt and this is my beautiful sister in law, Desiree Smith. Desiree is truly one of the most beautiful people I know, with a smile that lights up any space she inhabits, a laugh that can be heard a mile away, and a heart of generosity, kindness, and love. Unfortunately, Desiree was admitted to the hospital Saturday night (11/7/20) with COVID-19. Shortly after her arrival, Desiree was intubated and is in the ICU...alone. Her husband and stepchildren cannot visit or be with her. While Desiree and her husband have health insurance, their deductible is high and the concern over how they will pay for her hospital stay looms large.
