Thank you for checking out this page. Some of you may know me, but for those of you who don't, here is a little about my story...

 

I am 35 years old and I work as a nurse educator at Yale New Haven Hospital. I am a daughter, sister, niece, friend, and most importantly an aunt to four amazing little boys.

 

I have always wanted a family of my own so I decided at age 30 that if I was still single at 35, I would pursue motherhood on my own. 

 

When I turned 35 this year and began my solo journey to reproduction I learned that I am not medically able to carry a pregnancy on my own. This news was devastating, however, I was offered another option. Surrogacy. 

 

After grieving the loss of being able to carry my own pregnancy I got to work learning more about surrogacy and if it was the right option for me. From what I learned I found that surrogacy would be a great option for me, but the price is quite prohibitive. It will cost me approximately $100,000 to go through IVF and pay for surrogacy.  This is why we are here.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my story. I know my journey is not "typical", but this story is mine, and it is already a humbling story of love and generosity and how beautiful this world can be. It is truly people like you who lift me up as I navigate through this journey, until one day I am holding a baby in my arms.
