Duck Push 2023 - Clongowes

The Clongowes Duck Push 2023 is the continuation of a 29-year-long tradition of fundraising by the Transition Year students at Clongowes. The boys aim to raise funds for Crumlin Children's Hospital in the spirit of 'Kids Helping Kids.'

Over the years, the Duck Push has raised over €2.5 million, enabling the purchase of vital medical equipment to help treat Ireland's sick children.

All funds raised here will be transferred automatically to the Children's Health Foundation Crumlin.

How it Works

Throughout their TY year, students work together to organise fundraising events such as:

- The Clongowes Duck Push Golf Classic Thur 20th April

- The Duck Push 5km + 10km Run Sat 11th March

- A 24-hour swim on 25th May

- The Bumper Duck Push Raffle - Union Day, 28th May

Students also run mini-companies to raise funds:

- Christmas baubles

- Clongowes crested clothing and items

- The Online Duck Push Shop

The Duck Push itself will take place in various locations all over Ireland, and you will see a giant yellow duck being pushed hundreds of kilometres by our TY students throughout the year. Check some recent spectacular drone footage from our 30km push in beautiful Kerry; Video link

Administration

All funds raised here will be transferred automatically to the Crumlin Children's Hospital, where they will be used to finance much-needed medical equipment.
