On Saturday afternoon, March 1st, 2025, our world was turned upside down in a single, devastating moment.

Sebastyan—just 24 years old—is a devoted son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, and most importantly, a loving father to two beautiful young children. What should have been the exciting start of his pre-season rugby league game in Toowoomba ended in tragedy when a dangerous tackle drove him headfirst into the ground, leaving him with two breaks in his C6 vertebrae.

Now, instead of focusing on his passion for the sport, Sebastyan faces an uncertain and grueling road to recovery. He will undergo major surgery to insert pins and rods into his neck, a procedure that will mark the beginning of a long and painful journey toward healing.

By his side, his partner, two young children, and devoted family are staying by his bedside every step of the way. But with this unimaginable challenge comes an overwhelming financial burden—one no family should ever have to face alone.
