Elisa Swartz's Medical Bills
Donation protected
My name is Brittany Swartz and my mother Elisa was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2014. After many chemo therapy treatments and trips to University of Michigan (where she had a hysterectomy) she was announced in remission in 2016. Three months later she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and had to have more treatments and a mastectomy. Late 2017 she was announced in remission again. She began volunteering at St. Joseph in Tawas. She made many friends and everyone loved seeing her. About a year or so later she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer again. This is when the chemo therapy treatments started not working and giving her an allergic reaction, and U of M had to come up with new Chemo pills. She had to stop volunteering as these pills were making her very tired and even causing some other medical problems that sent her to the SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) and had to receive 6 pints of blood. At this point the tumors were still growing and the chemo pills were not working and there was nothing else they could do to cure her. As a last resort we made an appointment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America for October 8th, 2019. (This upcoming week). She passed away at home on September 26th, 2019.
After all of this the Medical bills have piled up on my dad and I.
We would appreciate any amount anyone has to offer.
