Champ Salley Funeral Expenses

Dear friends and family,

On Sunday, April 3rd, Champ Salley was enjoying an otherwise normal MX Motocross dirt bike motorcycle ride when he was thrown from his dirt bike. He landed on his head but despite wearing all protective gear (as he always does) he sustained major brain trauma as well as a compressed spinal fracture.

He’s currently at Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was life flighted receiving critical care. Everyday is crucial to his recovery. He is battling a brain bleed / swelling of the brain, compressed spine, collapsed lung and pneumonia. His condition is constantly changing with no definitive prognosis as of yet. Everything is being taken one step and day at a time.

To help alleviate the financial burden on top of everything else that our family is going through during this extremely difficult time, I’m reaching out for help by creating this fundraiser. It will help his Father (our cousin, Chris) with Champ’s mounting medical bills, so that he can focus on his care while remaining at his bedside as it is a 5 hour drive from their home to the Hospital. Chris has never been one to ask for help but he’s always one of the first to give it whenever needed. So now, I’m reaching out to all of you on his behalf.

Champ is such a sweet, kind, gentle and fun loving soul. He’s caring, quiet, loves animals and video games. He’s an amazing brother and he loves kung fu fighting movies and spicy candy. He’s an all around amazing kid who deserves the best of care - especially right now. Anything you can contribute would help. No amount is too small.
