Australia is facing big challenges in their rural communities, many schools and students face significant barriers to accessing essential technology and STEM education resources. This division impedes their educational growth and restricts their prospects in an increasingly digital age.

Tech4Impact is here to change that! A student-led project from Enactus UNSW.

Our Mission:

Is to bridge the technological gap in education by providing disadvantaged communities across Australia with access to essential tech equipment and resources. We aim to educate, inspire and empower young people, particularly in rural Australia, to seek opportunities through technology and STEM education.

Our Vision:

Every student, regardless of where they live or their economic status, deserves access to quality education and resources necessary to succeed. Our vision is simple yet impactful: we aim to collect and distribute tech equipment, such as laptops, tablets, and other educational resources, to these underserved communities. By doing so, we can provide students with the means to enhance their learning experiences and open doors to countless opportunities.

Our Story:

Our journey began with a successful partnership with ASEI Uganda, a nonprofit organisation that has been instrumental in promoting STEM education in Africa through its CODE program. Together, we helped introduce basic programming skills to secondary school students. We witnessed the transformative impact of education, students who previously lacked access to technology were now equipped with the tools and knowledge to pursue careers in engineering, health, mathematics, and beyond. Inspired by this success, we are eager to expand our mission to help students locally.

About Us:

Enactus is an international non-profit organisation with a global network of over 70,500 university students in 36 countries. Students collaborate with leaders in business and academia by taking entrepreneurial action to develop social enterprise projects that empower their communities. We target the SDGs to create impactful change in humanitarian start-ups that aim at an issue and deliver a solution.
