Help Shamim Fight Cancer

Hi, my name is Iqtidar and I'm fund-raising for the mother of my best friend who lives in Pakistan. Below is the message of her Son in his own words:

"Help My Mum Fight Stage 2 Mouth Cancer"

My mother has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 mouth cancer, and she is currently undergoing treatment. This diagnosis has deeply shaken our family, both emotionally and financially.

What happened?

A few months ago, my mom began experiencing severe pain and swelling in her mouth. After several visits to the doctor and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 squamous cell carcinoma in her oral cavity. She has since started her cancer treatment, which includes chemotherapy, radiation, and supportive care.

Why do we need help?

Although she is fighting bravely, the cost of treatment is overwhelming. As cancer care is expensive, especially for someone who does not have access to financial support, we are struggling to cover the costs of ongoing therapy, medicines, hospital visits, and travel expenses. My father is an intercity Van driver and my siblings are studying. So its getting very hard for us to continue her treatment, but still we're doing all efforts we can.

Where will the money go?

Every contribution will directly go towards her medical treatment, including:

Chemotherapy and radiation sessions

Prescription medications

Hospital stays and regular check-ups

Nutrition and post-treatment care

And of course the travel as we live in a small town and we have to take her to the big city for treatment.
