Help Shannon beat cancer!

Hello everyone,
I am setting up this page in support of my beautiful friend Shannon McDonald. I think of Shannon as more of a sister to me than just a friend so the news we all received in in October was truly devastating.
In March of this year, Shannon felt what she thought was a lump under her left arm. Despite several medical appointments it wasn't actually until October that Shannon had a biopsy taken from the lymph nodes under her arm. This unfortunately determined the shocking news that she had cancer. This then led to her finding out that she also had cancer in her breast. Further tests were carried out shortly after and a second biopsy was taken from the lymph nodes in her neck. Unfortunately she then received the dreaded news that the cancer had also spread into her neck. Shan's cancer is now at T4 in her breast and N3 in her neck and underarm.
Shannon is only 27 years old and is an amazing Mummy to a gorgeous, funny and sassy little girl called Alanna, who has recently celebrated her 5th birthday. Anyone that knows Shannon will know how loving, kind hearted and selfless she is. I am in awe of how strong and brave she has been through all of this. Shannon's main concern at the moment is trying to keep everything as normal as possible for her beautiful daughter Alanna. I know Shannon's partner Johnny and immediate family are doing everything they can to maintain "normal" day to day life for Alanna. I can't even begin to imagine how they all are feeling, watching someone they love going through something so heart breaking.
From now on in things are going to get a lot harder for Shan. She will begin her first round of treatment on Tuesday 24th of November. As a lot of us sadly know, trips to the hospital for appointments, treatment and all the other stuff that goes along side it can be very expensive. I know we can't do anything to take away what is happening to Shannon , but in donating even a small amount will help with the big things later on in her journey to battle through and beat this cancer. These next few weeks/months are going to be a very worrying time for Shannon and her little family. So please, I ask you, let's all pull together and take one less worry away for her.
As the weeks go on I will update you with Shan's progress but for now, let's all get behind this amazing girl and support her as best we can. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this.
