On Sunday 21st April I will be running the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon. Not only do I have the chance to do something I've always wanted to do, but I also have the opportunity to support a cause that means a lot to me.
I'm raising money for KIF1A.ORG (https://www.kif1a.org/) and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate a lot or a little. Anything helps.
KIF1A.ORG is a global community dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder (KAND) and accelerating research to find a cure.
My training has been going well, although it has been tough at times. The long runs have been hard both mentally and physically.
Knowing that I have your support will help push me towards that finishing line.
Please check out some of the brave superheroes battling this disorder:
***PLEASE READ***: Since KIF1A.org is a US based charity, I have not been able to setup a UK fundraising page which will allow me to donate funds directly to the charity. This fundraising page will therefore collect money into my personal bank account and I commit to, and will give proof of, donating all monies received to KIF1A.org. In addition, I will cover ALL donation transaction fees and charges, and will also cover all money transfer costs to KIF1A.org, so that your donations are not reduced by these transaction fees or money transfer costs. I expect to transfer all monies to the charity 1-2 weeks after the event, and will put proof of donation and receipt of funds by KIF1A.org onto this fundraising page. Please do contact me if you have any questions or any concerns.
If you have a Facebook account and would like to donate directly to the charity, you can do this via my Facebook fundraising page ()
Whichever way you prefer to donate, I thank you for your support!
