Fund Jazzmine's Journey to Recovery

Hello Friends,

My name is Brittany and I am pleading for any support that you can provide so that my oldest child (yes, she is my oldest child) can get surgery.

Jazzmine came into my life in 2013. She has since been my best friend and spirit animal. Her unconditional love is not only shown towards me, but towards her three babies…my children: Bella, Leia and Kal. They have never known a life without their Jay, and god knows that I do not want them to experience that until her time on earth has truly been fulfilled.

Today, we found out that Jazzmine has a torn CCL (Canine Cruciate Ligament) in her left hind leg. She will need surgery to ensure that she does not develop serious arthritis which will result in her inability to walk and live a normal life.

This surgery is VERY intense. It includes many x-rays with sedation and an in-depth surgery which actually removes the tendon completely. She will then need to be confined to a crate and work on in-home PT to strengthen her “new” knee. I will update this with the estimate for her surgery as soon as I receive it. 

If you’ve ever known a staffy, you will know that they LOVE to run…and we want Jazzmine to be able to run and play with her babies. Unfortunately, we maxed out our two CareCredit cards when paying for Jazzmines dental surgery back in April. If we had those available, it would definitely be a sense of support. 

I ask for any support simply because she is family. I am a hard working mother, with a husband who is in nursing school. We do everything we can for our children and this does not discount Jazzmine. At this time, finances are very tough and we do not have the luxury of pet insurance.

Please, anything helps. No matter how big or small. My family is praying for a miracle so that we can give Jazzmine the best that she deserves. God knows that she continues to do that for us every single day.
