My name is Amir, and I am creating this Go-Fundme on behalf of my best friend. Adnan is a fellow classmate of mine in med school. He grew up like any of you and I would. As and adolescent he aspired to be a professional hockey player since he was raised in Canada. However, as he got older and went along in educational life, Adnan became more and more interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
After university, he was unable to get into any medical schools in Canada. That devastated Adnan however he kept fighting through and looked into going to the Caribbean for medical school. Although he was accepted into the Caribbean medical school, Adnan was unable to secure the funds needed to go. No bank would give him a loan due to his financial situation.
So, Adnan did what anyone would do in his situation and decided to start working really hard to make money to be able to go to medical school. Adnan got himself a job and started working. He was working 8-10 hours per day some days even 10-12, 6 days a week, trying to make as much money as possible. He was grinding daily, with one goal in mind: To get into medical school and pursue his goal of becoming a doctor. Adnan worked as much as he could and saved as much as he could.
However, during the March 2013, Adnan was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and was hospitalized. He was hospitalized for almost 2 weeks. Luckily, through the support of his family and great medical system in Canada, Adnan was able to get back into workforce. He continued to work until finally, in 2015, he was able to get a loan approved to go to medical school.
Adnan decided not to go to the Caribbean medical school however, as that was still too expensive for him.
He decided to go to school in Poland because the tuition was cheaper in there, and he had the opportunity to start working in Europe after graduation and not have any ambiguity after school, as many Caribbean medical students sometimes face. Even though he didn’t speak a single word of Polish, Adnan decided to go to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor in a foreign country.
He entered into a 6-year program. His first year took a bit of adjusting, he was in a new environment. He didn’t know much and had to figure things out on his own.
However, Adnan was able to meet great people and make lots of great friends who helped him transition. Now Adnan on the cusp on finishing his 5th year of medical school, and he only has one more to go. Fortunately, here is where you and I come in. Adnan is almost completely out of my funds.
He has tried his best to save his money. Adnan continued to live at the cheapest location in the City. Despite all his best money conservation methods, Adnan is critically close to running out of funds. Adnan only has one year of med school left, and he desperately needs any help he can get to pay for his last year.
Adnan has been attending school, studying for USMLE exams, while tutoring weekly to earn money to pay for his rent. However, he doesn’t have any money to pay for the last year of schooling. If you can please help Adnan, he would be extremely grateful for helping him achieve his dreams of becoming a doctor and bettering the world. Please help him.
