Help Alyse McKinley Fight Severe Aplastic Anemia
Donation protected
About 2 months ago, Alyse was diagnosed with a rare and severe blood disorder, Aplastic Anemia, a disease that causes bone marrow failure. Her best cure is a bone marrow transplant from an exact match donor. Thankfully her sister, Abby, is a match and is able to donate her bone marrow to save her sister's life. Alyse and Abby have always been close, and now they will share something that will make their bond that much more special.
Alyse just completed her Freshman year at Lake Brantley High School. She will need to undergo several weeks of treatment with chemotherapy beginning today, and then will spend many months recovering at home to allow the transplant to be successful. Her mother, Traci, is taking off several months from work for her treatment and recovery, and the family will accrue significant medical expenses.
