Help Christina, Kira, and Benji Through This Tragic Time

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic and sudden passing of Dr. Brian Mitchell - he was only 47 years old.

Brian was a loving husband to Christina, a doting father to Kira (age 6) and Benji (age 5), and a trusted general practitioner whose reputation for listening and truly caring about the people he treated attracted patients young and old to his practice.

Brian, Christina, Kira, and Benji moved to their current Mill Valley home in 2024 so the kids could attend the local school. The family quickly made this new community their home - classmates became playmates for the kids and neighbors became friends for Christina and Brian as they navigated this chapter of their life together.

Now, Christina is left to figure out how to continue navigating this life without her love, her partner, her rock. One morning they were at home together and the next second Christina was dialing 911 when Brian would not wake up after experiencing sudden cardiac arrest in his sleep.

While we can’t take away the pain, grief, and heartache Christina and the kids are experiencing from this unimaginable loss, we are hoping to alleviate the type of acute financial worry that can accompany such a sudden loss - and we’re hoping you can join us by contributing to this effort.

It is our goal to raise $35,000 to help make certain Christina’s focus can be on the kids and moving through her grief, instead of having to worry about monthly expenses and unexpected bills right now.

Any amount is deeply appreciated, and if there is money left over once Christina and the kids settle into a new normal, that money will be saved for the kids’ education in the future.
